Iconic image

The Time cover article on Detroit (Oct 2009) showed the exact same picture. That is, a picture from the same hall from the same spot. Only the grand piano was positioned in another way.....This is an iconic picture of nowadays Detroit, a local photographer friend told me: it says a lot about the detoriation of the city, and of the music scene in one picture.

This used to be the main hall of the Lee Plaza Hotel, one of Detroit finest places.....
