Dutch artist Diederick Kraaijeveld (Street Pop) went to Southern California to salvage wood for a few American Icons… He found his treasures along the Venice Beach alleys, an East LA city dump and the abandoned villages in the Mojave Desert between Barstow and Las Vegas. In Venice he created some of his American Icons – Gas Station, Motel Sign and Stars & Stripes Skull – that became part of a solo show in Los Angeles…
